Sojourn With Santa is about the experience the kids are having visiting with Santa
It's natural for parents to want great portraits of their children. It is common for parents to try to coach their kids on how to look at the camera, or how to behave, or how to "smile for the camera." At Sojourn With Santa, we want parents to just relax and let the kids have fun; let them be in the magic of the moment! Our job is to get at least 12 great photos to fill your storybook that you will be delighted with, and you can count on our photographer and Santa to get wonderful expressions that show your child's engagement in the moment!

Our job is to get at least 12 great photos to fill your storybook that you will be delighted with, and you can count on our photographer and Santa to show your child's engagement in their moment with Santa! This is a professional photography event, and the resulting images will reflect the lighting and ambiance that we have created. We ask that you keep your cell phone camera in your pocket, since the resulting cell phone pictures will be a disappointing facsimile of what we create. If you really can't help yourself, take pictures of the whole set with the photographer and the lights included, and then share them with us!
WHAT TO WEAR
Remember the story about Santa coming on the Night Before Christmas? That is our inspiration, but instead of meeting him in the living room, we will meet him with his sleigh on the roof top. This is a story line with social distancing build in!
The kids will be seeing Santa from the window.
If it is night, and the kids are up late to catch a glimpse of the Jolly Old Elf, what could we expect to see them wearing? Why Pajamas, of course!
Color coordination is important
The set has a definite Victorian theme, so bear that in mind when choosing the costume for your kids. With Santa dressed in red, and the house and skyline in blue, Christmas colors would be an appropriate choice. We recommend solid colors, but the main thing is that the PJ's not be too busy with designs so that our eyes are drawn to the children, and not their clothing. And of course a white nightgown goes with anything so it is often a good choice for the girls.
We'll have PJ's available
We have costumes available in many sizes! There are red checked PJ's and nightgowns, and white nightgowns in several sizes. But if you are uncomfortable with the idea of sharing costumes, you certainly may bring your own!
